Mega Menu

Mega menu is possible in BS5 but we will need to create a custom template layout for the navigation widget. The following is a hard-coded example.

Font Awesome 6

FA6+ icons will work on all widgets.

The FMH Icon box will need a new version created because the styling is broken in Bootstrap 5 templates (this has nothing to do with FA).

FMH Icon Widget

Icons can now be used in Content blocks by pasting the HTML tags from www.fontawesome.com into the HTML editor.

Here are some new icons from Font Awesome 6

Accordion

This is the first item's accordion body. It is shown by default, until the collapse plugin adds the appropriate classes that we use to style each element. These classes control the overall appearance, as well as the showing and hiding via CSS transitions. You can modify any of this with custom CSS or overriding our default variables. It's also worth noting that just about any HTML can go within the .accordion-body, though the transition does limit overflow.

This is the second item's accordion body. It is hidden by default, until the collapse plugin adds the appropriate classes that we use to style each element. These classes control the overall appearance, as well as the showing and hiding via CSS transitions. You can modify any of this with custom CSS or overriding our default variables. It's also worth noting that just about any HTML can go within the .accordion-body, though the transition does limit overflow.

This is the third item's accordion body. It is hidden by default, until the collapse plugin adds the appropriate classes that we use to style each element. Quality Control Review FAQ

Quality Control Review FAQ

What can an Insured do to prepare for a review?

Third party documentation (i.e. summary/settlement sheets from the elevator) is required when applicable and available. Insureds are expected to have available hard copy records that will 1) support the total production raised for the crop/county/year being reviewed and 2) that can demonstrate how production was kept separate between various units, practices and types (if applicable).

Insureds will also want make themselves available to meet with the quality control reviewer as the reviews will need to be completed before the claims can be processed.

What can Agents do to prepare for a review?

Agents can encourage their producers to begin assembling the production history documentation that will be necessary to complete the APH Review. Agents may also want to be sure all current year policy documents have been submitted to the FMH home office so that the Contract Review can be completed without delay.

How does the review process begin?

Once a claim is reported, FMH adjusters will be in contact with policyholders and/or agents. They will discern which policies will need a review and take the steps necessary to initiate these reviews. At that point FMH’s Compliance Field Specialist will oversee the review completion to ensure that all the components of the review are completed by objective and unbiased persons and according to RMA procedures.

Ron Rutledge Recognized in Two Industry Awards

Feb 14, 2024, 15:13 by Elise Hepker
Ron Rutledge, former president and CEO of Farmers Mutual Hail, was recently recognized for his outstanding service to the industry with the CIRB Chairman’s Award and NCIS Crop Insurance Lifetime Achievement Award.

Rutledge served as FMH President and CEO from 2010-2021, when he retired after a 40-year career in crop insurance. He continued to serve on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Crop Insurance and Reinsurance Bureau (CIRB) as well as the Board of Directors for National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS). He completed his terms for both organizations in February 2024.

CIRB 2024 Chairman’s Award

Outgoing CIRB Chairman Brian Young presented the CIRB 2024 Chairman’s Award to Rutledge at the CIRB Annual Meeting in February. “It’s not too much to say that Ron, like his family before him, has been an institution in the crop insurance industry,” said Young. Ron is the fifth member of the Rutledge family to be honored with the CIRB Chairman’s award since it was implemented in 1984.

Said Rutledge, “After these 13 years [with CIRB], I’d like to leave you with this: I’ve tried to do what I can do to support CIRB, I would encourage you to do what you can to participate, and more so, encourage those that aren’t here today to do that, too.”

NCIS 2024 Crop Insurance Lifetime Achievement Award

Scott Arnold, Chair of the NCIS Board of Directors, presented Rutledge with the 2024 Crop Insurance Industry Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2024 NCIS Annual Convention in February. The Lifetime Achievement Award is designed to recognize individuals who consistently demonstrate outstanding leadership to the crop insurance industry.

Shannon Rutledge, current FMH President and CEO, nominated Ron for the award. He said, “The impact Ron has made not only at FMH but within the industry is impressive. He has seen – and led – some of the biggest changes crop insurance has undergone in his 40-year career. His passion for ensuring farmers in America have the safety net they need is inspiring, and his leadership will be missed. Congratulations, Ron!”
