Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
FMH continues our ongoing support of JDRF as the Presenting Sponsor of JDRF’s One Walk to fight T1D. In addition to the walk, employees contribute to various other fundraising activities throughout the spring, including March Madness brackets, sponsoring popcorn days for the office, and an indoor putt-putt golf event. Since 1995, we've contributed over $570,000 to JDRF.
St. Baldrick's Foundation
FMH has raised over $1.5 million for the St. Baldrick's Foundation since 2006. We are proud to help fund childhood cancer research and scholarships for promising medical students with our fundraising efforts, like the company's annual head shaving and wild hair event.
United Way of Central Iowa
Each fall, FMH employees organize and participate in a variety of fundraising events, raffles, and competitions to support the United Way of Central Iowa (Polk/Dallas/Warren) and United Way of Story County. FMH raises an average of over $200,000 per year for United Way.
Fighting Food Insecurity
FMH is fighting food insecurity in Iowa and across the country in several ways. Each year, FMH hosts an on-site meal packaging event for Meals from the Heartland, packing over 35,000 meals that are distributed across the country. FMH supports DMARC’s Spring Greens Event and provides a matching gift to sponsor the Food Bank of Iowa’s Summer Hunger Fight. FMH also supports the Double Up Food Bucks program, which allows SNAP program participants to buy healthy fruits and veggies. These four programs are helping to feed hungry kids and families.
