Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa (FMH) has announced that Shannon Rutledge, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been elected to the position of Chairman of the FMH Board of Directors effective March 9, 2026. Shannon had previously served as a director on the company’s Board.

Shannon has been FMH President and CEO since 2021, continuing an insurance career that has spanned more than three decades. He has held multiple leadership roles at Farmers Mutual Hail and serves on various boards across the industry. In his time as president and CEO, the company has achieved record years in premium growth and business expansions.

Shannon steps into the role of chairman following Ron Rutledge, who completed his term as chairman and now serves as a director on the FMH Board of Directors.
