In mid-Februrary, FMH leadership and members of the CIRB Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) attended the 56th Crop Insurance and Reinsurance Bureau (CIRB) Annual Meeting in Bonita Springs, Florida.
The event agenda covered a range of topics that focused on the 2020 economic outlook, hemp perspectives, crop insurance legal challenges, and changing weather patterns and risk management. Annual Meeting attendees had the opportunity to interact with other professionals and industry leaders at the event. In addition, Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Roberts was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his work on the modern crop insurance program.
Listen to an interview from AgNewsWire with Zach Allsup, CIRB ELP member and Assistant Vice President - Claims, on how he’s benefited from being in the ELP program.
“I know more what it takes to actually get things changed, how to be part of that progression. I think being part of it through CIRB allowed me to make some more connections not only with people in the industry but people that are representing us through the Senate and the House,” said Allsup.
