FMH COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

As stay-at-home restrictions are being lifted across the country and businesses are reopening, FMH has implemented additional safety guidelines to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of its employees, vendors, and agents. We thank you for your cooperation and vigilance. 

Guidelines for Agency Visits

Beginning Monday, June 8th, FMH sales and precision technology support staff are permitted to have in-person contact with agents. CDC recommended safety precautions will be followed to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  • Prior to Visit: FMH staff will call ahead to receive permission to visit. They will also ask health- and travel-related questions to confirm if there's risk of COVID-19 exposure and delay visits if needed.
  • During Visit: FMH staff will wear a face mask or cloth face covering and maintain social distancing. 

If the agent or agency staff has concerns or isn't comfortable with in-person contact, FMH staff will continue to provide support using remote channels.

Policyholder Activities

For policyholders with claims, FMH adjusting staff will continue to call policyholders prior to visits to advise them of next steps in the claim process. Policyholders have the option of conducting business via phone, email, and mail to process claims instead of meeting in-person. Only the adjuster is required to be present for field inspections.

For in-person policyholder activities, FMH adjusting staff will also ask COVID-19-related health assessment questions prior to a visit and wear a face covering as well as follow social distancing guidelines during the visit.
